The Vancouver Lego Club participated in the "What will you make?" Roadshow. Shown here are pictures of our display over 3 days.
What these pictures do not show is any of the automation we had all over the display.
Here is a list of the animation we had on the layout.
In the Pirates/water area we had:
-- Firing Cannons on the two battling ships.
These cannons (two per ship) actually light up as they move backwards. When they fire the other ship shakes. The cannons reload and slide forward ready to fire again.
-- A large sea going ship that rocked with the waves!
-- In the Booty cave we had steady and blinking lights that made the gold glitter.
-- The haunted house (Seen in our 2002 layout)
On the rest of the layout we had the following:
-- Graveyard with blinking red lights in the Mausoleum and a coffin that rises out of the ground! (If you look closely in the Graveyard pics you can see a blank space then there is a coffin there.)
-- The CN engine made a showing. It was static but had it's fans and front LED's working. Also in the CN display was a showing of the Train crossing. But only the LED's flashed. The gates did not go up and down (Since the Train was parked).
-- In the castle area we had a moving gate, a fireplace using FOS and a dragon in the dungeon that had an LED flame with a chamber that lit up when it flamed. Also in this area was a moving bucket that hoisted orcs to the level above.
-- On the Quidditch field we had the two teams flying around.
-- Above the layout we had a train go around and a very cool monorail display!
All in all it was a very busy layout and everyone seemed to love it. It was quite fun! I hope you enjoy our pictures, but they really don't do the layout justice.)
